LockFit Inverness

You might have noticed we've been a bit quieter on social media the last week or so.

Unfortunately we had to take our Lockfit pup Bobby to the vet after he developed major breathing issues.

After being told to prepare for the worst 2 days in a row after he had ultrasounds then spent a full day undergoing x-rays and bloods, thankfully he returned home tumour free but his breathing was caused by an enlarged heart which was leaking fluid into his lungs.

He was immediately put onto heart medication and another tablet to start draining the fluid from his lungs. We've then had an anxious 7 day wait to see if he took to the meds or, if not, face the prospect of palliative care.

After his review tonight, thankfully the medication appears to be working and his lungs are a good bit clearer, although some fluid still remains.

Sadly, as with heart disease in humans, it will claim him in the end but hopefully he can have another year or two of the good life before then.

I know quite a few of my customers have had the enjoyment of his company when he's been out at work with me and he'll be riding shotgun for a wee while longer yet!

A few jobs carried out for a customer in Inverness who's just moved into their new house and not only wanted to upgrade their security but also had a couple of issues left by the previous owner.

Front and back doors and a pair of French doors all upgraded to APECS 3* thumbturn locks which we had keyed alike at the customers request so that one key does the lot. They also received 5 new security keys with the peace of mind that they can't be duplicated locally if one fell into the wrong hands

Unfortunately they'd inherited a failed front door mechanism which required the gearbox replacing.

Finally, a broken key was extracted from the garage door as well.
