CRCB pavement design just completed for a site subject to differential settlement and still providing a very long, indeterminate life. This represents the lowest WLCC for the client, where URC, JRC or fully flexible pavements would’ve failed mid design life and cost the client a fortune down the line.

The design meets all HD24, 26, 36, IAN73, HA44, etc. standards as well as having an optimum design for longitudinal and transverse steel, with limestone aggregate, etc. to keep induced cracks regular and very fine to avoid any water affecting the bars, as per the last 30 years of empirical UK design feedback and recommendations contained in TRL reports.

The asphalt overlay uses a styrene butadiene styrene (SBS) PMB which can accommodate the minimal thermal movements in the CRCB.
