Beyond Cancer

We held our 9th Charity Fundraising Ball at the Leeds Marriott Hotel on 24th May 2025. Our aim this year was to support bowel cancer research through Leeds Hospitals Charity and our own work at Beyond Cancer.

We are pleased to announce that we raised a total of £8017. This meant we were able to donate £3,500.00 for the work of Bowel Cancer in Leeds. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your valuable support. We couldn't do this without you.

Our work will continue in supporting those living with or diagnosed with cancer. In addition, our aim is to raise awareness of prevention and seeking early diagnosis. If you need support or advice do get in touch; we are here to help.

Being breast aware simply means knowing what your breasts look and feel like normally, being on the lookout for any unusual changes and getting them checked out by your doctor. The earlier breast cancer is diagnosed, the better the chance of successful treatment. So it's important to check your breasts regularly and see your GP if you notice a change.

​Breast Screening is available after the age of 70, but you will need to request this from your GP.
