Oak Class stepped back in time as they explored their topic on the Victorians at the National Archives. The children were fascinated to learn about Victorian prisons, even studying an original prison map from Camden! Using their inference skills, they examined real photographs from inside a Victorian prison—discussing what the images showed and what life might have been like for the people in them. 🔍🖼️ The highlight of the day was being handed authentic profiles of child prisoners from the era. The class compared these stories to how children are treated today, sparking powerful conversations about fairness, rights, and how much society has changed. A brilliant, thought-provoking day of history brought to life!

Year 5 had an unforgettable two-day residential trip to Juniper Hall in Box Hill. From fire lighting and survival skills to mammal trapping and evening campfires, it was a true outdoor adventure.
