IEMT Q&A 7th July 2026 with Matt Kendall

**********

How can I support my client after sessions?

**********

I am wondering what happens if you are just doing the demo to show them how it works and they then it opens up to the whole session starting because they have another emotion now about the memory. Do you just go with that instead of just trying to show them it works. Also it may be technically different from the actual problem they came in for and wanted to work on so that’s a bit tricky too. Thanks!

**********

I watched the most recent interview you did with Andy. This question relates to that interview.

Given the importance of people doing IEMT knowing how to respond if there are any medical etc issues that occur with clients, do you think there should be a requirement for those trained in IEMT to have a first aid qualification or some sort of medical response training?

I know the association offers some training. For example: dealing with su***de risks.

But should first aid or medical response training be mandatory in order to practice/work with clients?

**********

I am having trouble with my case studies and making them PDFs and submitting them the way you want. I am not very technical. Help?

**********

What do you do on a client consultation? Is it important to do one?

**********

Where can I hold sessions in person? I don't know where to start.

**********

Yes, do you explain the 3-pillars concept to a client cognitively when working on related feelings of fear, guilt and anger?

**********

How do I work with someone who is so anxious that they can't sit still, close their eyes or follow any instruction?

**********

How can I support my friend who is very anxious after a recent colon cancer diagnosis. She already said she has never been that scared before. She has a tendency to catastrophise.

IEMT Q&A 3rd June with Matt Kendall

-----

Could you please elaborate on POCs, e.g 'what if' or 'may be'. Could you give examples and how to work with it rather than just pointing it out to people

-----

The family panorama. I find it intriguing but time consuming. I have preferred to ask people about the identity of others instead.

-----

Hi, when doing the other pronoun work do we keep it to their own gender pronouns?
I read out the whole list as an example and my female client chose 'him' in reference to her ex husband! I tried it but it didn't seem right so moved onto the visual representation for identity of others to work on him.

-----

How do you with someone with a fear of heights?

-----

Can IEMT help with issues such as IBS?

-----

Is it better to specalise in something or work with everyone?
