From 1 July 2021, EU, EEA & Swiss citizens living in UK without having applied for pre-settled or settled status under EU Settlement Scheme will be here unlawfully. Home Secretary confirmed a few months ago that people can apply after deadline, but they must have “reasonable grounds to apply late”.
1. Children (including children in care and care leavers)
2. Physical or mental capacity and/or care or support needs
3. Serious medical condition or significant medical treatment
4. Victim of modern slavery
5. Abusive or controlling relationship or situation
6. Other compelling practical or compassionate reasons
7. Ceasing to be exempt from immigration control
8. Existing limited or indefinite leave to enter or remain
9. Document or status under the EEA Regulations
10. Benefit of the doubt
11. Pre-settled to settled status
