Does your business celebrate Matariki?

With Matariki just a few days away, here’s a throwback in celebration. This was created for my lovely client (Liminal Nails) who absolutely loves an excuse to celebrate whenever possible. We have created versions of her ‘Liminal lady’ for Easter, Valentine’s Day, Halloween, Christmas etc and we added Matariki a year or two ago.

It’s my favourite of all the iterations.

I’ve been going through my photo archives lately and am bringing some of my favs back!

You know… special ones with gorgeous colour palettes to inspire the week.

How about a horned starfish on a tropical beach to pretend it’s not winter and you’re toasty.

At an absolutely offensive hour after the gorgeous dusk shoot at Waikawa Beach I went back out to photograph the Milky Way over Kāpiti Island.

After seeing the small pond (lake?) I really wanted to attempt to see if I could capture the Milky Way over the still reflection. I didn’t quite get the result I wanted, but practice will get me there.

I am deeply not a morning person as many of you may know, but sometimes weather windows appear and you just go with it to seize the opportunity.

It was beautiful. Properly awe inspiring. Should do more of it, probably won’t as the temperature gets colder.
