In cycling, vision is always decisive. Cornering at race pace, picking a line through winter roads, or reading a descent in changing light all depend on good vision. 4KAAD, a Finnish brand better known in Nordic skiing, has taken that problem and approached it with the same no-nonsense precision that defines its home terrain.

The company’s background shapes its products: long winters, low sun, and conditions that move from bright to flat in minutes. What works there tends to work anywhere. As 4KAAD has stepped from skiing into cycling and triathlon, it has kept that straightforward design philosophy intact — functional hardware built for real world conditions.

Campagnolo today launches its new flagship Super Record 13 groupset which is not only the world’s first wireless 2x13 system but also represents, in the Italian brand’s words, the start of a new era. Campagnolo is referring to it as “the new platform… the first groupset that will start a general redefinition of the brand’s identity with the next configuration launching in September 2025.”

Not only does it have more sprockets but Super Record 13 is claimed to be the fastest on the market; it weighs less than the previous 12-speed system (2,445g, which Campagnolo says is the lightest on the market) and it’s more affordable too – the standard version without the power meter is priced at €4,300 compared to €5,300. And, as photos of Cofidis team bikes had suggested, the iconic thumb button is back.

The new Parcours Grimpeur is a rim-brake wheelset redesigned for the modern era. If you thought rim brakes were dead, think again. Featuring a wide rim that’s optimised for 28mm tyres, a sub-1,300g weight and a 41mm depth, the innovative British brand promises “the perfect modern all-rounder for a rim-brake setup”.

Founder Dov Tate explained: "We applied what we’d learnt from our disc-brake wheels, asked how far we could push that design on a rim-brake wheel whilst maintaining compatibility. We realised that we could push a bit further, in particular with the internal rim width, so we’ve gone from the previous generation of 19mm to 22.5mm. It might not sound like a lot, but it’s a generational leap in terms of rim design."
