Emanuele’s osteopathic approach sees pain as a complex blend of physical, psychological, and social factors. He is also UK leader in Oxygen-Ozone therapy.

Brick By Brick | Ep:10 | Ultrasound & Drove to the Dolomites for my 30th birthday 06/04/2026

Helping elite athletes push their limits means making sure their entire system is ready for the next challenge! 🏔️🏃‍♂️

It was an absolute pleasure having Kori Sampson in clinic just before he set off on his epic 30th birthday, running in the freezing Dolomites. You can check out his full journey in his latest video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vg_8qsYexKw&t=906s

When Kori came, he had been experiencing Achilles pain for over 4 weeks, so we couldn't just guess—we needed to look exactly at what was happening beneath the surface. Here is a breakdown of how we approached his recovery and performance enhancement:

🔍 Diagnostic Ultrasound
We took a deep look at the structure of his Achilles. While the tendon was thankfully completely intact, the scan allowed us to pinpoint a specific, less dense area showing fluid buildup and high inflammation.

⚡ Oxygen-Ozone Therapy
To rapidly accelerate his healing, we utilized Oxygen-Ozone Therapy right on the spot. For an high performers this ticks all the boxes, it is natural, minimally invasive and doesn't have any downtime to recover after. It reduces inflammation with zero adverse side effects, allowing him to safely maintain 80% of his running progression rather than dropping his mileage by half!

🧠 Performance Enhancement with HRU
Physical recovery is only half the battle; the rest is systemic optimization. Using the HRU analysis we ran Kori through an entire check of his system physiology. One of the intervention was made by actively syncing his breathing to instruct his brain to effectively down-regulate. Changing these internal habits builds true physiological resilience from the inside out. For someone like him, it means dropping 15-20 bpm on a high pace run. Incredible.

Seeing him crush his snowy mountain runs and icy lake plunges in the Dolomites is exactly what this work is all about! Proud to support you on your journey, Kori. Let’s keep building. 🚀

David is 47.
CFO of a mid-size company. Traveled constantly. Slept badly. Lived on coffee and late dinners.

He didn’t feel ill — just older than he should have felt.

A routine check-up turned into a cascade:
• Coronary CT: early arterial calcifications
• Bloods: rising LDL
• DEXA: borderline osteopenia

The message was calm and clinical:
“Nothing dramatic. Statin. Calcium. Weight training. Reduce stress.”

What no one explained was why bone loss and vascular calcification were happening at the same time.

Chronic high-stress states increase acid production.
Acids need buffering.
And calcium is one of the body’s fastest buffers.

So the system borrows it — from bone, from soft tissue — to survive.
Over years, that adaptation shows up exactly like his scans.

At HRU, we didn’t start with arteries or bones.
We tested:
• Acid load (O-PRAL)
• Buffer depletion
• Autonomic imbalance
• Stress adaptation phase

Once the catabolic drive was reduced, the system stopped borrowing from itself.

This wasn’t a heart problem.
It was a system under permanent stress, doing what it had to do.
