This Rural Housing Week, Hastoe Group welcomed development partners and colleagues from Colchester City Council to see progress on eight new Section 106 homes at Braiswick Road, Colchester. Potter R***r is proud to be acting as Employer’s Agent on the scheme, delivered by contractor Marfleet & Bradshaw.

The visit underlined the role Section 106 plays in rural affordable housing, at a time when the National Housing Federation has warned that proposed changes to the National Planning Policy Framework could put thousands of similar homes at risk. The scheme at Braiswick comprises six homes for Affordable Rent and two for shared ownership, with a provisional handover date of September 2026.

Our Project Director, Nicky Silvey and Assistant Quantity Surveyor, Darcy Carroll continue to provide Employer’s Agent services on the project, working closely, with Hastoe Homes and Marfleet & Bradshaw as the development moves towards completion.
