Hi, I am Si. I was (and still am!) amazed with the “magic” of radio!
At the age of six in the early 80’s a family member in Newbury in Berkshire had a CB radio that looked like a telephone handset installed in an old Hillman with a big magmount aerial on top. I was shown how to work it and was immediately hooked ! How did it work? what is radio? - how could I sit in a car and speak to loads of people and sometimes people in different countries? Wow! No one could really explain it and that is the magic of radio to me. I made tons of friends from the radio - some I am still in touch with now and a couple of girlfriends. Back then in the early 80’s there was no facebook, no internet, no mobile phones. CB radio was the social media ! There was an area in Newbury where all the CBers used to meet “Park Way”. I remember in our road every three or four houses had a big CB aerial installed. I was never really into the technical side of it - I was more into the social side of it - talking and making friends and the sport of radio. The sport of radio ie how can I make my transmit signal go further, how can I have better audio, how can I hear people better. I was addicted.
That led me on to do the Radio Amateurs course when I was a teenager, passed with a class A license and could use all bands upto 400watts power output and the rest is history so to speak.

I then worked in IT for over 20 years, focussing on my family and my career. Nine years ago I designed a range of steel telescopic masts under the brand name “Radiozing” had them made in China, imported them and realised there was a big market for them. I joined Sanzing Limited and also started selling CB radios, power supplys, aerials, amplifiers, multimode radios - PMR and Ham products and had around 300 product lines under the brand name Radiozing. We became very successful and certainly upset our main competitor. I have a recording of him telling who he thought was a customer “Don't trust Radiozing they are doing VAT fraud, they are selling counterfeit goods, they are selling stolen goods, they are working form home”
Sadly, Sanzing’s company owner became very ill with an ongoing heart condition and decided to close down the company. We had at one point three industrial units in South Godstone, Surrey and an antenna farm with aerials for all bands and a 160m doublet for top band HF. Since the closure of Sanzing LTD in December 2018, I have been looking to find an investor and business partner and set up my own company and I am pleased to announce I have succeeded and in March 2019 I have set up Jabber Products Limited www.jabberproducts.co.uk a specialist radio communication reseller initially stocking CB radios, PMR, Ham radio and all related items including the steel masts and lattice towers. I will be continuing to sell under the brand name “Radiozing”. Frustratingly, www.radiozing.co.uk was attacked by vultures and is owned by someone. “They can take our website but they will never take what we achieved” said in a Scottish accent like braveheart !
