Remember what you're celebrating.

Independence Day only tells half the story.

In 1776, a nation declared its freedom. But in 1619, the first enslaved Africans were forced onto these shores and that history doesn't disappear just because it's inconvenient to the celebration. You can't proclaim liberty for all while leaving out the chains that built the wealth behind it.

Honest history isn't anti-American. It's the only way to actually understand America.
