🏉 Return to Rugby – What a Season at Acklam Rugby Club ! ☀️

Tonight marked our final Return to Rugby session at Acklam Rugby Club, finishing in the best way possible – a competitive game played in the sunshine, with smiles all round. There may have been a score on the board, but there was only one real winner… rugby and friendship.

This season has been a huge success. It’s been brilliant to see so many players get involved, with some even progressing on to play senior rugby 👏 I wish we’d kept count of how many have taken part across the sessions – even tonight we had players returning, which says it all.

The attitude, effort and work rate shown week in, week out have made the sessions an absolute pleasure to coach. Everyone has truly bought into our rugby ethos, and that’s something to be proud of.

Finally, a massive thank you to everyone who joined us for R2R this season. We’ve loved every minute and we hope you have too.

Penultimate return to rugby session tonight 🏉

Bit of a change-up with plenty of lineout set pieces. Nothing builds trust like being launched into the air by your mates while everyone yells mysterious code words. Timing’s improving… mostly. 😅

Finished the session with a kicking competition — congrats Matty, ice in the veins!
