Businesses and organisations across Middlesbrough are being urged to show their support for the Armed Forces community.

They’re invited to attend a special Armed Forces Covenant signing event at Middlesbrough Town Hall on Monday, June 22 during this year’s Armed Forces Week.

It’s a chance for them to publicly demonstrate their support for the Armed Forces community by signing the Covenant.

It is an important pledge to ensure that no member of the Armed Forces community faces disadvantage in employment or the services they provide.

It also represents a commitment by the Council and the town to strengthen the relationship between local communities and the military.

The event will be attended by Middlesbrough Mayor Chris Cooke who will re-sign the Covenant on behalf of Middlesbrough Council.

The event will take place in The Crypt at Middlesbrough Town Hall between 10am and noon.
