Rushcliffe council awarded highest rating for governance and financial controls | West Bridgford Wire Rushcliffe Borough Council has received the highest rating from its internal auditors for its risk management, control and governance arrangements for 2025/26.

Solar farm proposal: There’s some confusing information circulating regarding a consultation relating to a proposed solar farm on land off the Gedling Access Road surrounding Burton Joyce (site pictured).

Just to be clear: The consultation that closes today is an informal consultation being run by the developer, Perigus Energy. Feedback submitted to this consultation goes directly to the developer and is not part of the formal planning process.

The current consultation is NOT the formal planning consultation by Gedling Borough Council. If Perigus Energy submits a planning application, Gedling Borough Council will then open a separate formal planning consultation. It is only through that Council consultation that residents can formally support or object to the application and have their comments considered as part of the planning process.

We will share details of the Council’s formal consultation once it opens.

We hope this clarification is useful. If you have taken part in the developers informal consultation then it is extremely important that you submit your comments formally to GBC Planning when that formal consultation opens.
