I met The Talking Tradesman today, and it really got me thinking 🤔

Being self-employed is empowering, but it can also be isolating. There’s no boss checking in, no colleague noticing if you’re burning out. It’s just you — and that can take a toll.

We often push through stress, ignore the signs, and keep going because we have to. But the truth is, your mind is your most important tool. If you’re not okay, the work won’t be either.

Meeting someone openly talking about mental health in trades made me realise how many of us keep quiet when we’re struggling.

So here’s your reminder:
• Set boundaries
• Take breaks
• Talk to someone
• Don’t feel guilty for resting

You are the business — look after yourself like you matter. Because you do.
