How is this beautiful girl still waiting?

Day after day, Willow waits patiently, hoping today is the day someone might choose her.

Instead, she’s overlooked.

Not because she isn’t loving.
Not because she isn’t loyal.
Not because she isn’t deserving.

Simply because she needs the right home.

At around 6 years old, Willow still greets life with the excitement of a puppy. She’ll make you laugh with her silly personality, melt your heart with her affection, and remind you every single day just how special rescue dogs are.

She absolutely adores people. She loves being close to those she trusts, thrives on human companionship and forms the kind of loyal bond that can’t be bought or taught.

When she’s had enough fuss, she’ll quietly wander off to her crate for a nap. She’s a clever, self-aware girl who knows how to switch off.

To help Willow find the family she truly deserves, she recently had a behavioural assessment.

Our behaviourist saw exactly what we see every day…

A wonderful dog who simply needs someone to understand her.

Willow walks beautifully and enjoys getting out and exploring. Around other dogs on walks she’s generally happy to ignore them and continue on her way. Meeting dogs face-to-face can make her feel worried and defensive, but with patient guidance and continued training, our behaviourist believes this is something she can continue to improve. She’s already had a successful, calm introduction with a male Labrador.

She’s incredibly food motivated, making training enjoyable, has shown no resource guarding around people and has no known allergies.

What Willow needs isn’t complicated…

She needs an adult-only home.

She needs to be the only dog.

She needs someone who won’t expect perfection on day one.

She needs someone who sees beyond the label of “reactive” and sees the loving, funny, affectionate soul underneath.

Someone who will advocate for her.
Someone who will celebrate every little success.
Someone who will love her for who she is—not who they wish she was.

Because here’s the truth…

Dogs like Willow are so often left behind.

Not because they’re bad dogs.

But because people keep waiting for an “easy” dog.

Meanwhile, Willow keeps waiting for someone who’ll finally see her.

She has so much life left to live.
So much love left to give.
She just needs someone willing to take a chance on her.

Welcome Anda

This lovely girl was found abandoned at the side of a busy main road , thankfully she was found just in time.

Anda is a typical playful pup, who is quick to learn , so she will love her puppy training once she’s in her forever home.

She is young enough to learn to live with cats and other dogs and will bring lots of love to any home.
