TAD GLASS

week 1 is finally upon us! You’ll find me in the City Centre section of the guide #33 and I’ll be at the studio on John St every one of the 5 days of OpenupSheffield. It would be fantastic to see you! Lots to do nearby - cafés, as well as Stag Works, Chaucer Yard, Johnny , Artists…. The list could go on! Come and say hi!!

Yesterday my lovely students made these! This has to be my favourite way to spend a day!! Swipe for my current full and half day beginners workshop dates with more dates and weekly classes coming soon. You are also very welcome to come and have a look at my studio as part of over the next two weekends 2nd / 3rd / 4th / 9th / 10th May. I’ll be there all 5 days 11am - 5pm to show you around the studio and the process. My neighbour Johnny and next door neighbours the artists will also be open. (You can check all their times on the Open Up Sheffield website). I’ll be stopping for Jess’ cake and coffee on Saturday and is a stone’s throw away if you would like to browse more of Sheffield’s independent artists and makers. Now off to organise the studio. I may be some time ….

Massive thanks to everyone I saw yesterday at Sharrow Vale’s spring Market. It was a wonderful day with lots of familiar faces popping by to say hello, chat, add to their collections, talk about their own glass work and catch up on news about my upcoming classes and events. Thank you also to the new faces who stopped to make such lovely comments and listen to me natter on about glass 😆 I’ll be preparing now for on 2nd/3rd/4th & 9th/10th May at my Harland Works studio on John St S2 . (It’s unit 7 in the courtyard. Just buzz at the top of the stairs on the right or call me)! Johnny will also be open downstairs in unit 6 as will artists on Randall St. (Thank you to .creates for the artwork)! There are cafés nearby - but no football matches - and will be open if you want to browse more independents. Before then it’s feet up today and planning for a weekend of at the Workstation on Saturday 25th with a day of classes on Sunday. Shout out also to my neighbours yesterday who make the whole market experience so much more enjoyable and so worthwhile. Off now for a nap!💤 Now that’s what I call a day off!!

Up next it’s Sheffield. I’ll be there with lots of fellow handmade makers from 11am to 4pm on Saturday 25th April. Tickets from Eventbrite or on the door.

Last minute preparation for Sharrow Vale Market on Sunday 12-4. My favourite market and closest to home but somehow this one always takes longer to pack for and prepare. Sunshine is forecast so come and say hi! will be my gazebo buddy once again. We are between Eve’s kitchen and Sharrow Vale Hardware. See you tomorrow! X
