Certainly! Dolly Bhaskaran is an inspirational figure in Slough, Berkshire. She has been actively involved in volunteering for Diabetes UK, a national charity that supports research into diabetes and helps diabetes sufferers. Dolly, a retired nurse, was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 2002, a condition she shared with her parents and four siblings. After retiring, she continued her lifelong passion to help people by becoming a volunteer for Diabetes UK. Her dedication earned her the Supporting Diabetes UK Inspire Award, and she was also recognized as the Dedicated Volunteer of the Year by Slough Council for Voluntary Services in 20191. Additionally, Dolly founded the Slough-based group “Living in Harmony,” which supports people living with long-term health conditions2. Her commitment to improving healthcare outcomes for those with diabetes shines through her work as a Community Champion and Speaker Volunteer. 🌟👏
