Bespoke 5ft Bioactive Vivarium 🌿

This custom build took around 2-3 weeks to complete, with careful planning at every stage - from constructing the vivarium and cabinet to shaping a natural background using expanding foam, cork bark, spray glue and soil. Each step was allowed to cure and settle properly for long-term stability.

The setup features layered substrate, hand-selected wood pieces, live planting, and a full lighting system. After a week of stabilising humidity and allowing the clean-up crew to establish, extra ventilation and base waterproofing beforehand were added to suit the species and ensure lasting durability.

A lot of time, patience, and attention to detail go into every project to create bioactive environments that are both functional and naturalistic.

Building a 5x2x2ft Repti-Life vivarium background for Blake (Russian rat snake).
Polycarbonate sheet cut to size → cork bark secured with foam → carved for max space to explore.
