Today we’ve been enjoying the architecture of Finn Alvar Aalto. Having known his Savoy vase it’s great to join the dots and discover some of Alvar’s other work. Such a peaceful setting for a peaceful building for peaceful people.

We’ve been drawing a lot of inspiration from Portland not to mention enjoying the calm of the Japanese Garden.

Why are we still having to have conversations about racism? Maybe because there aren’t enough conversations about it, maybe because we don’t challenge people or talk to our children about these issues. Building sites have a number of issues, however racism is a huge problem. Whilst being involved in the construction of student accommodation in Exeter I couldn’t believe the attitude of the site managers and their peers towards racism. It’s also shocking how the BBC and others are reporting on current events. Treat each other as you would expect to be treated.
