I was delighted to observe a plethora of talented youngsters and was impressed by the exceptional skill and dedication exhibited by all participants in Hocus Pocus. I particularly appreciated the outstanding performances of Nathan and Ronnie. My gratitude extends to all the young participants and the entire team for their hard work. The experience was truly unforgettable, and I am thankful for the opportunity to collaborate with such a gifted group of individuals, including the Deaf actors who brought their passion and expertise to the production. Thank you for your kindness and for allowing Ellen Rice and Jeff Moreland to capture a moment with the mother-daughter duo on the last day. I appreciate the efforts of all the children and teenagers. Thank you for learning our Sign Languages; the more you learn, the better opportunities you will have. The gifts from us are a token of appreciation. You all are truly beautiful and amazing individuals! I especially appreciate the contributions of Deaf actors Ellen and Jeff. Ronnie Paulley Jr. and Nathan Thomas Lampone, thank you both so much for everything. You all have done an outstanding job. Keep in touch. I love you both!!

Today is National ASL Day.
Not just a language. A full spectrum of identity, culture, and connection.
Not one voice. Not one look. Not one experience.
A language that doesn’t live in black and white.
It lives in every shade, every movement, every shared moment between people.
Every handshape. Every expression. Every story belongs.
This is more than communication.
This is culture in motion.
That’s ASL. Our beautiful language.
