📍During his speech, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze shared the following remarks:

“The project you presented is truly impressive and effective - it involves the construction of two skyscrapers and entails a very large-scale investment of 300 million USD.

This project demonstrates the private sector’s trust in the government, in the development of the economy, and in the growth of Batumi. From this perspective as well, the initiative is very important.

Also noteworthy is the project’s social dimension: as we were told, 1,500 people will be employed during the construction phase, and once the project becomes operational, 2,000 people will be employed within this multifunctional infrastructure.

This is truly a project built to modern standards, which is highly commendable. It will serve as a kind of calling card that will enrich the appearance of Batumi and contribute to its development.”

Orbi City is the largest development project in Batumi, a rapidly growing city on Georgia’s Black Sea coast. This vibrant mixed-use urban destination brings together retail, hospitality, business, and entertainment spaces.

Chapman Taylor is working on the design of Orbi City Mall, a major retail destination that will be located within Orbi City. While Orbi City’s residential towers are already built and operational, construction of the commercial component is now beginning, with Chapman Taylor leading the concept and scheme design for this next phase.

The project fully aligns with Batumi’s development strategy and strengthens the city’s position as a new hub for tourism and investment in the Caucasus region. Since late 2024, Chapman Taylor has been working on the concept and scheme design stages on behalf of Orbi Group, a leading developer that has played a pivotal role in reshaping Batumi’s evolving urban landscape.

The development features over 16,000 m² of landscaped public space, creating an environment that blends hotel-style services with long-term ownership opportunities.
