Victorian Walled Kitchen Garden

Despite the weather, a band of die-hard sketchers attended the Victorian Walled Kitchen Garden at Saumarez Park at the weekend for Rendez-vous aux Jardins. They were rewarded with some welcome sunshine, making for a wonderful afternoon of sketching en plein air in the beautiful surroundings. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the event such a success! ☀️🌿✏️

Last Wednesday. Malcolm Cleal and Lisa Upham, welcomed the 10th Guernsey Cubs to the Victorian Walled Kitchen Garden at Saumarez Park. The Cubs enjoyed a tour around the garden and an opportunity to eat vegetables en route. They then planted runner beans before taking a fascinating tour through some of the Japanese gardens in the park, learning about their history and the unique stories behind them. A wonderful evening full of gardening, nature, and local heritage.
