FINAL UPDATE ON HER EXCELLENCY’S VISIT TO THE NANUNG KINGDOM
In a gesture of profound appreciation and diplomatic goodwill, a distinguished delegation representing His Royal Majesty Nyelinbolgu Naa Yakubu Andani Dasana, the Chiefs, Queen Mothers, and the people of the Nanung Kingdom paid a courtesy visit to the Embassy of the Republic of Suriname in Accra.
Led by the Executive Director of the Nanung Peace Initiative (NPI), Mr. Alhassan Somed Dasana, and accompanied by Chief Saha Naa Alhajj Mohammed Ijonda Adam, Chief Dr. Yussif Iddrisu Madingo of Accra, and esteemed Queen Mothers, the delegation formally presented a Letter of Appreciation and a Comprehensive Report on the official visit of Her Excellency Fidelia Graand-Galon, Ambassador of the Republic of Suriname to the Republic of Ghana, to the Nanung Kingdom.
The presentation underscored the deep gratitude of the Nanung Kingdom for Her Excellency’s historic engagement, which fostered cultural diplomacy, strengthened people to people relations, and further enhanced the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the Republic of Suriname and the Nanung Kingdom.
This significant occasion reflects a shared commitment to peace, mutual respect, cultural heritage, and international partnership, while laying a strong foundation for future collaboration and meaningful exchange.

Visit of Her Excellency to Kukuo Community
As part of her official visit to the Nanung Kingdom, Her Excellency Fidelia Graand-Galon, Ambassador of the Republic of Suriname to Ghana, visited the Kukuo Community, where she engaged with community members on key issues affecting local development.
Discussions focused on access to portable water, agriculture, and entrepreneurship as essential drivers of sustainable growth and improved livelihoods. Her Excellency also paid a visit to Mr. Abdulai Gbandi, the National Best Farmer Award recipient of 1997, whose remarkable achievements and contributions to agriculture continue to inspire generations within and beyond the Nanung Kingdom.
The visit highlighted the importance of investing in agriculture, empowering local entrepreneurs, and strengthening community-based development initiatives for a prosperous future.

UPDATE: HER EXCELLENCY’S DEPARTURE
Alhamdulillah, we give thanks to Allah for the peaceful, successful, and memorable visit of Her Excellency Fidelia Graand-Galon, Ambassador of the Republic of Suriname to Ghana, to the Nanung Kingdom.
Her Excellency departed safely yesterday after a fruitful engagement that strengthened friendship, cultural exchange, and mutual understanding. We pray that Allah grants her a safe onward journey, protects her in all her endeavors, and continues to bless the growing relationship between the Nanung Kingdom and the Republic of Suriname.
The Nanung Peace Initiative (NPI) expresses its profound gratitude to all traditional authorities, community members, and stakeholders whose support contributed to the success of this historic visit.
