According to reports, the U.S. Attorney’s Office expressed its appreciation to several local and international law enforcement agencies, including EOCO, the Ghana Police Service, the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI), the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC), and the FBI Legal Attaché Office in Accra, for their cooperation in the extradition of Abu Trica from Ghana to the United States.
This has led some people to ask whether the same level of international cooperation could be applied in other cases involving individuals facing legal proceedings.
For example, some have questioned whether similar legal processes could be pursued in the case involving former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, if the relevant legal requirements for extradition are met.
