The Engineering Council is the baby of the engineering community, and that is why collaboration is key to achieving engineering excellence." Ing. Dr. Kwame Boakye, Board Chairman of the Engineering Council, shared this during the private sector edition of the CEOs’ Breakfast Meeting held on September 24, 2024. He emphasized the Council’s mission to regulate the engineering profession in Ghana, ensuring safety, innovation, and adherence to the highest standards.

The Board chairman stressed that engineering failures are always catastrophic and called on engineering firms to ensure they, their practitioners, and their suppliers are properly licensed. He further underscored that Africa’s progress is heavily dependent on engineering, noting that without engineering, Africa is going nowhere. This gathering of CEOs and key representatives from engineering firms focused on how collaboration between the Engineering Council and Engineering Firms can drive the industry toward excellence, accountability, and national development.
