Hon. Tampuli Donates Nurses’ Quarters and Medical Equipment to Gushegu Municipal Hospital

Member of Parliament for Gushegu Constituency, Hon. Alhassan S. Tampuli, has handed over a newly constructed nurses’ quarters and a wide range of hospital equipment to the Gushegu Municipal Hospital.

The donation, made during activities marking his 50th birthday celebration in Zinindo, is aimed at strengthening maternal care, emergency response, and overall healthcare delivery in the municipality.

Items donated include:
- Ward & Maternity: Delivery beds, examination beds, and detention beds
- Emergency/Critical Care: Cardiac monitor, nebulizers, and oxygen concentrator
- Diagnostics: Doppler, BP machines, and thermometers
- Patient Support: Adult scales and wheelchairs
- Clinical Kits: Delivery sets and dressing sets
- Hospital Operations: Consumables, detergents, and anti-snake serums

Speaking at the handover, Hon. Tampuli said the project reflects his commitment to improving health infrastructure and supporting frontline workers. He noted that comfortable accommodation and modern equipment are essential for attracting and retaining nurses, and for delivering quality care to patients.

Hospital authorities received the donation with appreciation. Management described the intervention as “timely,” adding that the equipment will be put to immediate use. They also noted that nurses can now sleep comfortably in the new quarters, which will enable them to work more effectively and respond faster to emergencies.
