Cancer is no respecter of mankind, male or female, young or old, rich or poor. Globally, approximately 70 million people will be living with cancer by 2050. Also, an estimate of 655 people die with cancer every hour. In Ghana it is estimated that 7 out of 10 newly diagnosed cancer patients die within a year mostly due to late presentation or delayed diagnosis. But there is HOPE.
A healthy lifestyle and early detection can save your life. There are several ways cancer can be detected early, example through medical screening, as well as clinical diagnostic procedures, mammography for breast cancer, pap smear for cervical cancer, PSA or DRE for prostate cancer and other tests.
AD-Cancer Awareness, Ghana in collaboration with Otobia Hospital and AfroStar TV is organising a free medical screening and consultation on Saturday 6th December, 2014 at Otobia Hospital, Dome Pillar 2. Join us from 8:00am to 3:00pm. You don’t want to miss this opportunity.
We believe in a cancer free world.
