“Mr Speaker, thank you very much for the opportunity to contribute to this very important Statement made by my former boss at the Microfinance and Loan Centre (MASLOC) and senior Colleague, Dr Stephen Amoah.
Mr Speaker, for all of us who have had the opportunity to sit in Economic Policy class, it is trite knowledge that the structure of Ghana’s economy is not balanced.”
That was Hon. Eric Edem Agbana stepping into the 9th Parliament. And just like that, the Ketu North MP let Ghana know the youth aren’t here to warm benches. We’re here to shift the culture. To make our voices count.
At 33, he’s one of the youngest in the House, but his résumé is already heavy:
• Former UG SRC President who made student leadership look cool
• Triple degree holder from Legon: Econ Policy, Dev Finance, plus Peace & Security
• Fellow of the African Young Leaders Fellowship, European University Institute
• Board Member, ECG and President, Nukunu Sports Academy
From lecture halls to Parliament, from volunteer projects in rural Ghana to the Education and Public Accounts Committees, Edem is proof that “too young to lead” is just vibes. His steeze is top-notch.
He’s big on youth dev, accountability, and lighting up Ketu North — literally. Peeeeep!!! .
Simba Ghana sees you, Hon. Eric Edem Agbana!
You’re showing a whole generation of youth that you don’t need permission to take your seat at the table. You just need purpose, prep, and the guts to speak up.
