GRID for Development

DATA COLLECTION AND CONSULTANCY SERVICE FOR THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT FOCUS FROM 16th - 17th JULY, 2022 IN BANJUL
Global Research Innovation and Data for Development (GRID) was contracted by Substainable Development Focus (SDF) consultancy to conduct a two-day data consultancy and collection on SOCIOECONOMIC SURVEY FOR THE 4TH PORT EXPANSION PROJECT - BANJUL JUNE/JULY 2022.
The following were the activities done in the two days of data consultancy and collection:

On the 16th of July, the GRID consultancy firm carried out a data collection exercise at the site in Banjul targeting three groups of people who will be affected by the port expansion project.
1. Banjul-Bara boat crossing
2. Fish market in Banjul
3.Wharf Njago Fish Landing site

The GRID data collectors were divided into three teams:

1. Banjul Barra Boat Crossing Team
2. Wharf Njago Team
3. Fish market team

The data collection exercise consists of questions and answers to the Project Affected Person's (PAP's).

It was a very busy day as it was a whole-day exercise at the project's targeted areas from 8am to 4pm. The GRID consultancy firm, led by the country's Executive Director, Mr. Lamin Saidyfaye, later met at the Humanity First building at Latrikunda for the entry and compilation of the collected data into reliable and actionable information.

DATA CONSULTANCY SERVICE FOR THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT FOCUS FROM 29th JUNE - 1st JULY, 2022 AT HUMANITY FIRST TRAINING INSTITUTION.

Global Research Innovation and Data for Development (GRID) was contracted by Sustainable Development Focus (SDF) consultancy to conduct a three days data consultancy on SOCIOECONOMIC SURVEY FOR THE 4TH PORT EXPANSION PROJECT – BANJUL JUNE/JULY 2022.

The following services were done during the Data consultation contract with GRID Consultancy.

Services:
1. Development of Database.
2. Data entry of all the Questionnaires.
3. Filling and collation of the data.
4. Tabulation of all vital suits of the project.
5. Analysis of key components of the survey information.
6. Compliance with the final database and handed back on the 1st July 2022.

The Lead Consultant for GRID who is also the Country Executive Director from the 29th June to 1st July 2022 leads the services of the consultancy.
