🎬 Athens Premiere: “2000 Meters to Andriivka” 🇺🇦

“2000 Meters to Andriivka” is a gripping new documentary by Ukrainian filmmaker Stanislav Chernov, the Oscar-winning director of “20 Days in Mariupol.”

The film takes viewers to the frontlines of Ukraine’s counteroffensive near Bakhmut in September 2023. Chernov and photographer Oleksandr Babenko follow the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade as they move through a heavily mined forest to liberate the village of Andriivka — a place almost completely destroyed by war.

Winner of Best Directing at Sundance 2025 and Ukraine’s official Oscar submission for Best International Feature Film, “2000 Meters to Andriivka” is a raw, emotional, and deeply human portrait of courage and resilience.

Overnight, Russia launched a missile and drone attack on Kyiv, destroying an entrance section of a residential building and killing at least six people, including a 6-year-old boy. Rescue crews are working at the site to clear the rubble, using heavy engineering equipment in an effort to save lives.
