Chad Maciver, known as , is a South African producer and sound engineer. He is the co-founder of the and one half of . Art Society is Chad and Kelvin, Soryuka’s duo alias. They produce songs and DJ together in Johannesburg. The nightlife there ranges from festivals out in nature to raw club nights, all the way to one of the longest-standing clubs: an abandoned reptile park turned into a club 🦖.

There is a decent group of people in and around Johannesburg who love minimal and house, and these events range from rooftop parties to underground club nights. frequently approaches these events, bringing his own touch to the culture, shaping rhythm through texture, tone, story curve, and tension.
