I am thrilled about Ágnes Krasznahorkai's visit to where is my Jewelry Showroom, where she selected pieces from the Mitsuro Hikime Gold collection to accompany her outfits for her father László Krasznahorkai’s Nobel Prize in Literature ceremony and the preceding celebratory events. We had a nice chat with a cup of tea, then we choose the best pieces for the events. She is a delightful person!

The 2025 Nobel Prize in Literature is being awarded to writer László Krasznahorkai
“for his mesmerizing and visionary oeuvre, which highlights the sustaining power of
art even amid an atmosphere of apocalyptic anxiety.” Krasznahorkai is an
outstanding epic creator of the Central European tradition—from Kafka to Thomas
Bernhard—whose works are made unique by the exaggerations of the absurd and
the grotesque. At the same time, his authorial voice is far richer: contemplative, finely
layered, and precisely nuanced, with a gaze also directed toward the East.

The Nobel Prizes have been awarded every year since 1901 on December 10, the
anniversary of Alfred Nobel’s death. The prizes in physics, chemistry, medicine, and
literature are presented in Stockholm, where the ceremony is traditionally followed by
a lavish banquet at the City Hall. The event is attended by His Majesty the King and
the Queen, members of the Swedish royal family, representatives of the Swedish
government and parliament, as well as distinguished international guests from the
scientific and cultural spheres.
