🏡 Tiny house design & planning
Helping you build it right. Welcome to KV Conception.
Where can you actually put a tiny house? 👇
It’s one of the biggest misconceptions about tiny living.
Most people think you can just buy land and build…
but the reality is a lot more complicated than that.
📍 Zoning rules decide where you can place it
📏 They affect size, structure, and requirements
🏗️ And sometimes… they make it impossible
I’ve seen people design their dream tiny house,
only to realize too late they can’t legally use it where they planned.
It’s not just about building it…
it’s about knowing where it’s actually allowed.
That’s why understanding zoning should come before you even start designing.
I learned this the hard way, and it’s something I now share to help others avoid the same mistakes.
I go deeper into this in my guide. (link in bio)
Building permits don’t have to be confusing 🏗️
In this video, I break down how building permits work, using a real case example from Québec, Canada, but the process is surprisingly similar in many places.
If you’re planning to build (tiny house or not), understanding permits early can save you time, money, and stress.

This mistake can ruin your tiny house project before you even start.
We often rush the beginning.
We just want to build… and think we’ll figure it out later.
That’s exactly what I did.
But some decisions can’t be fixed once it’s built.
I designed mine to travel without fully understanding what that really meant… and it cost me more than I expected, not just money.
The real mistake isn’t at the end.
It’s at the beginning.
Take your time. Think it through.
Don’t make the same mistake I did.
