Found this little gem from September 2022 and thought I’d share it with you all. It’s a raw, intimate moment of me performing “I Knew My Love” – an old Irish traditional song that’s always meant so much to me. My mum, whos passed, used to sing it at parties. It was one of our favourites. ❤️🎶

Now, I’m no guitar player by any means, but I’m proud that I made it through the song start to finish with no major mess-ups. 🙌 Could I have sung it better? Sure. Could I have looked better? Probably. But this was one of those moments that was real, unfiltered, and from the heart. ❤️ So, here it is… It is what it is.

Thank you for listening. 🕊️

After two long years of homelessness, one spent in emergency accommodation, my 7-year-old and I finally have a place to call home. 🏠 It’s hard to express how grateful we are for this apartment, but it’s heartbreaking knowing so many others in Ireland are still struggling in a worsening housing crisis.

It actually breaks my heart that there are over 14,000 people waiting on accommodation and over 4,000 kids who have to grow up with this as a core memory. Who have to eat their meals off a bedroom floor, do their homework on the bed that they share with their parent, have no space for even the simplest collection of toys. Who have to endure and be traumatised by the daily and nightly screams of a woman who has severe schizophrenia. We need to do better as a society, we need a new government.

This crisis is no accident; it’s a result of the government’s failure to act and failure to care. They have put their own greedy interests above the needs of their people. (@finegael @fiannafail)With the upcoming election, we need to stand together and make our voices heard. It’s time to vote in a government that will actually *do something* to fix this. @pbpcork @mick_barrytd @sinn_fein @mick_nugent @thomasgould_td @social_democrats

As for the flooring? You can see me laying down this herringbone masterpiece. Do I love it? Yes! Would I do it again? Absolutely not. 😂

🌹 Happy Birthday, Mama🌹

Today, you would have been 72. I can’t help but think of how proud you’d be of the granddaughter you helped bring into this world. She has become a strong and passionate activist for the cause of Palestine and its people. Her performance today was nothing short of awe-inspiring.

Thank you, Mama, for everything. Your spirit lives on in her every day. I miss you infinitely, always ❤️
