I wanted to get something a little different to a typical work van I’d have at home,
Ended up buying this Hilux that turned into a bigger project then anticipated,
Had to get it through the Aussie NCT,
Buy a big tool box for the back, roof racks,
Bit of mechanical work unfortunately and get a nice set of tyres for it,
Sure what else would you want to be driving over here !

Thank you all for keeping me so busy here and supporting my business but now I’m really excited for this new chapter down under and to be working in a different country. Keep her lit…. mate!

Basement Project Part 4-

Concrete floor painted, walls painted,
Bathroom refitted
Kitchen refitted
Skirting to be fitted and room done,
Henry the hoover working overtime !
The sump pit is well concealed at the back of the room with access from a manhole ⭕️

Basement Project part 2-
Now to put it all back together again!
Since phase 1 was completed another company had installed the membrane on Both the floor and walls.
The floor screed had been put in and allowed time to dry.
In order to get a complete seal, the stairs had to be removed, the under stairs WC and kitchen area were taken out and brought off to storage.
The first job was to make a new stairs, as the floor level had increased the old stairs wouldn’t work,
So one was made up on site.
All of the walls will eventually have to be plasterboarded.
Before the stairs could be installed I had to batten out the wall that it would be going up against.
We were not able to pierce the membrane… so more challenges… but no bother to us!
So next up the whole room had to be built out with perimeter studs and plasterboarded.

Decking stair replacement-

Treated timber used, stainless screws, exterior wood glue and fiberglass strips placed under the 9x2 where it meets the concrete to keep it off the wet.

Got a great bit of help with this from my cousin, also called Luke (great name).
Tricky one because both the decking and the path it was landing on were off level, the path was running off by about 50 mm, love a challenge !
