One of the things I love most about this feedback is that it reflects something I hear from many practitioners.
People often enrol expecting to learn the ten Story Massage strokes. While that's an important part of the programme, they quickly discover there's so much more to it.
Understanding the science behind Story Massage helps practitioners feel confident about why they're using it, not just how to do it.
The programme also shows how those same ten strokes can be adapted to favourite stories, songs, poems, nursery rhymes and social stories, making it easy to tailor the experience to the people you support.

Over the years I have used the Story Massage Programme to help many children, teenagers and SEN adults to process the many feelings of grief. When a family member becomes sick it can be hard to understand and process all the questions and feelings you might have.
Story Massage can give a safe space for tears, anger or worried feelings to be heard or expressed through art.
This Story Massage is to help a family as their Grandad moves into palliative care in a hospice. When you are trained in the Story Massage Programme you can create your own massage stories for the people that need them ❤️
