🇮🇪🥈 World Championship Silver 🏔️

A huge congratulations to Jackie Atkinson, who proudly represented Ireland today at the 2026 World Masters Mountain Running Championships in Janské Lázně, Czech Republic.

Competing against the world's best masters mountain runners, Jackie tackled the Uphill Championship Race – a relentless climb of almost 8 km with over 740 metres of elevation gain to the summit of Černá hora. It was a true test of strength, endurance and grit.

Alongside her Irish teammates, Jackie delivered an outstanding performance to claim Team Silver for Ireland on the world stage – a fantastic achievement and a well-deserved reward for all the hard work she's put in.

Whether it's swimming, cycling, running or racing up mountains, Jackie continues to inspire with her commitment and determination. Pulling on the Irish vest is an honour; bringing home a World Championship silver medal makes it even more special.

Everyone at Wicklow Tri Club is incredibly proud of you. Congratulations, Jackie! 💙💛🇮🇪👏
