Swim Eire’s Daragh Morgan has officially completed his historic swim around Ireland! Over 98 days and nearly 1,500 km, Daragh battled fierce weather, swarms of jellyfish, and wild seas as he made his way around the Irish coast. It’s an absolutely epic testament to human endurance, grit, and heart.

We’re incredibly proud to have tracked his journey. Huge congratulations to Daragh and a massive shout out to skipper Dara Bailey, , and the entire Swim Eire crew for their outstanding support.

We’ve had the absolute privilege of working with on his mind-blowing canoe of the great loop over the past 15 months. Peter left Michigan in June, 2024 and has spent the past 479 days(!!) canoeing the inland waterways, oceans and rivers that connect the 6,000 miles of America’s Great Loop. Typically a route for boats, who travel counter clockwise with the currents, Peter transited it clockwise, in a canoe, solo, with no support crew…. dressed as a pirate. The journey was so long that Peter twice took breaks to sew new clothes. Peter dodged hurricanes and alligators, and when the river proved impassable he took to hauling his canoe by hand along the riverbanks. His journey is coming to an end soon! If you’re out in Lake Michigan go cheer him on!
