Grow
Yes, you!
Grow!!!
*Siri play "Lover Of My Soul by Jonathan McReynolds"
But what I lack
You are full of
Where I'm broken
You are whole
What I'm doubting
You are sure of
So I'll trust the lover
Lover of my soul
Don’t let/use anything as an excuse not to grow.
Be it:
Laziness
Unfavorable Circumstances
Sickness
Mental Health
Family
The truth is that whatever excuse you’ve been using as a reason not to grow, someone somewhere is using that as a fuel to get better.
I recently watched stories of people who turned their situations around just because they were determined to beat those situations.
The most interesting being the story of a lady who had a life threatening heart-condition and the doctor told she had to have an operation to live. She went for another doctors opinion and was told that if she changed her life habits she wouldn’t need the operation. Guess what, she’s alive today and very fit. She spent at least an hour in the gym every day from that time till now doing the very things she would’ve not be able to do just because she decided Enough is Enough. Her heart is fine and she’s better for it.
The question to ask is, what am I using as a crutch?
Is it:
I don’t have this and that....
My Health this and that....
Nobody helped me...
My mental health this... & that
As a believer our ultimate help, strength and joy comes from one person, Jesus.
The problem with these crutches is that they start out legitimately but soon become a wall that doesn't let people tell you the truth, makes you dismissive and feel attacked when they point it out.
Truth HURTS most times, but it's still the truth😢
I should know, I’ve used all these excuses, and what I’ve found out is that many times, they are just a mask for fear sometimes, or the real reason which might be that I’ve not be doing the things I ought to do for a healthy and robust Spirit.
So my charge today is that you throw your insufficiency into God’s sufficiency.
Pray
Worship
Most importantly, never do it alone, take advantage of the believers God put in your life.

If God were man!
-
I'm sure You've heard this phrase before, probably in it's reversed form, but what if I could prove that He was a man!
-
Did you know that God became a man? In case you didn't, I'm letting you know that He did, and because He did we can learn about His characteristics and actions in a proper study!
The entire first chapter of Hebrews was written as a defense to this fact!
(Read Heb 1)
He was a man, a man called Jesus
-
So if God were man what would He do?
No need to think far, I can show you what He would do!
-
If God were man, He would pray!
-
Jesus was God in the flesh & often was found praying!
-
Luke 3:21
Now when all the people were baptized, Jesus was also baptized, and while He was praying, heaven was opened,
-
He was found praying from his baptism!
-
Matthew 14:23
After He had sent the crowds away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray; and when it was evening, He was there alone.
-
Mark 6:46
After bidding them farewell, He left for the mountain to pray.
-
Luke 6:12
It was at this time that He went off to the mountain to pray, and He spent the whole night in prayer to God.
-
Mark 1:35
In the early morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house, and went away to a secluded place, and was praying there.
-
Luke 5:16
But Jesus Himself would often slip away to the wilderness and pray.
-
He was found praying OFTEN
-
Luke 9:18
And it happened that while He was praying alone, the disciples were with Him, and He questioned them, saying, “Who do the people say that I am?”
-
Matthew 26:36
Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and said to His disciples, “Sit here while I go over there and pray.”
-
He was found RETREATING to pray!
-
Matthew 26:39
And He went a little beyond them, and fell on His face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; yet not as I will, but as You will.”
-
Matthew 26:42
He went away again a second time and prayed, saying, “My Father, if this cannot pass away unless I drink it, Your will be done.”
-
Matthew 26:44
And He left them again, and went away and prayed a third time, saying the same thing once more.

In other news, the text below is a miniature excerpt from yesterday's message on PURPOSE at please do your best get it!
It's a principle of peace and maturity to learn what you can't control.
There are two types of people:
1. Those who give up during trials
2. Those who go through the trails.
It's not about the trails, but about the person.
When trials come, if you don't have a reason to live you'll give up.
Purpose kept the early church in times of persecution.
Purpose is that one thing for which you were created and at which you must succeed otherwise nothing else you succeed at will count.
- P.I.E
The purpose of every man is the same.
To know Christ and to make Him known.
So this is me giving you a reason!
Much love!
