Boxing Therapy is the combination of non- competitive boxing training with Empirically Based Therapy practices.

Why Therapists are learning boxing therapy?

Clients who find it difficult to engage through traditional talk therapy may benefit from structured movement- based interventions.

Therapists are increasingly integrating body-based approaches into trauma treatment.

Clients who
struggle to IDENTIFY and describe how they are feeling, ultimately struggle with interoception (the ability to understand stimuli going on inside ONESELF).

Boxing Therapy directly addresses these interoceptive skills and provides the avenue for clients to actually connect with their experience and be able to communicate it.

🥊 MYTH VS TRUTH 🧠

**MYTH:** Boxing Therapy is a treatment for aggression.

**TRUTH:** Boxing Therapy is not about encouraging aggression or teaching people how to fight.

It is a trauma-informed therapy modality that uses movement, grounding, and body awareness to help people safely express and process a wide range of emotions.

When words are difficult to access, movement can create a different pathway to healing.

Boxing Therapy helps individuals strengthen their mind-body connection, build emotional regulation skills, and develop healthier ways to cope with stress and overwhelming feelings.
