It's been a long time since I posted anything behind-the-scenes here on Instagram.

So today, while making this postcard, I reminisced about childhood memories of postcards. It all started with my grandfather—he used to write, send, and receive postcards from all my aunts (Bua), and my dad would do the same for his sisters and a few childhood friends. This all happened back in the '90s. ❣️

I grew up seeing postcards everywhere. At that time, telephones and cellphones were not as accessible, so postcards were one of the primary means of communication.

There were two types of cards: one was Antardesi (the type with sender and receiver details, an open message, and a stamp but no outer envelope), and the other, a bit more expensive, was simply called a Postcard (this one had sender and receiver details, a message, an outer envelope, and stamps as well).

Those were the vintage days, when verbal communication was less frequent, and people nurtured relationships with patience. All they were waiting for was a postcard. 💌

I still buy postcards, and I still love exchanging them for slow, meaningful conversations. Sometimes, postcards play a special role in creating memories , 🫶🏼

We all recognize Vincent van Gogh for his masterpiece *The Starry Night*, but have we ever stopped to think about what he was experiencing during the final chapter of his life?

Struggling with mental health, isolation, and a deep yearning for belonging, Vincent poured his soul into his art, creating beauty even in his darkest moments. His journey was one of passion, pain, and perseverance.

POV: I made this cute polymer clay Vincent van Gogh brooch to honor his legacy 🫶🏼.

Feel free to share your thoughts, love, or anything you feel about the maker of our favorite painting "The Starry Night"❣️

Let’s keep his spirit alive with a little piece of his art, worn with pride! 🫶🏼
