This Earth Day feels different🚨

Not because the science changed but because the consequences are harder to ignore.

Today I spoke at a sustainability panel hosted by Purdue University Global, and one thing was clear: this crisis is no longer about the future. It is about people and taking action right now.

It’s about families losing homes to floods.Children breathing polluted air.Farmers watching their crops fail.Communities carrying a burden they never chose.

Climate change is not just an environmental issue, it is the lived reality of the frontline communities.

And the hardest truth?We still have time to act but not the time to play blame game.

Urgent action doesn’t mean panic, it means honesty, choosing to act even when it’s uncomfortable.
It means holding systems accountable while also changing what we can, where we are.

Because every fraction of a degree matters.
Every policy matters.Every voice matters.

Earth Day should not end when today does because the crisis does not stop and wait for anyone.

Ask yourself what you will do next to bring change and save our planet, our common, shared home earth.

Because this moment needs urgent action.

2025 was the year of many ups and downs, it was a year which made me realise that some things are just not meant to be no matter how hard you try.

I always thought that giving up was not an option because I associated my happy life heavily with my success and goals.
Everything started feeling useless because when you work hard for something you believe is your purpose, failure doesn’t just disappoint you, it takes away every little hope that’s left in you.

For the longest time I felt like a huge disappointment because after everything that I did the outcome still slipped through my fingers. It hurt in ways I didn’t expect. Some dreams feel bigger than setbacks, yet this one weighed heavy.

2025 was also a year that reminded us how real the climate crisis is - Heatwaves, floods, wildfires and in Delhi, the worst air pollution since 2018, where breathing clean air felt like a luxury. The worst things about any crisis or problem that’s being experienced my us is that we have simply started to accept the problems without thinking about what could be done about it.

One of the biggest challenges to tackle the climate crisis is not the denial but rather the acceptance towards the crisis.

Nevertheless I’m stepping into this new year with clarity, strength, and purpose. I will keep showing up, keep working on real problems, and give my absolute best to create the change this world desperately needs.
It’ll almost be a decade since I started working as an activist and one thing that I’ve learnt through this journey is that you must always keep going on no matter how slow Change feels and that’s exactly what I’ll continue to do.
