After India’s independence in 1947, Congress ruled most of the time, and since 2014 BJP has been in power. Other countries that became independent later also saw long dominance of one party.
After independence, most countries had one dominant party for decades, often the liberation movement, before opposition or new parties rose to power.
Britishers and other Europeans ruled many countries. Even after independance these countries are controlled thru investments. Will it change in next 10-15 years?
