The distinguished centenarian completed MBBS from King Edward Medical College, Lahore in 1944, and played a vital role in developing the Indian Air Force's medical services. A specialist in Aviation Medicine, he served at numerous air bases which include Ambala, Allahabad, Jalahalli, Delhi, and was also the Commanding Officer of Military Hospital Namkum, Ranchi.

The occasion was celebrated by a joint team of IAF and Air Force Association.
