Happy Raksha Bandhan 2022! The festival of Raksha Bandhan, Popularly known as 'Rakhi' and 'Rakri', has finally arrived and will be celebrated by siblings across India on Thursday. This special day, celebrated on the last day of Shraavana, which generally falls in July and August, is celebrated to commemorate the bond between a brother and a sister. On this day, the sisters tie a sacred thread around their brother's wrist as a symbol of protection and care. This thread is often decorated in different styles and is known as 'Rakhi'. Praying for their brothers' safety and long life, they apply a tilak on their foreheads.
