It’s official: The Centre has granted Ex-Servicemen (ESM) status to officers of the Military Nursing Service.

For decades, these officers served in forward areas, high-altitude posts, and conflict zones—yet they were denied the same post-retirement identity as their counterparts in the Army, Navy, and Air Force.

That changes today.

This isn't just about a title. It opens the door to: ✅ Reservation in Central Govt jobs. ✅ Age relaxation for competitive exams. ✅ Full access to Kendriya Sainik Board welfare schemes.

This is a massive step toward institutional equality in our armed forces.
