The Uttarakhand Chapter of the Indian Society of Radiographers and Technologists (ISRT) was formally established on December 7, 2025, during a state council meeting at Hotel JSR Continental near Rispana Bridge in Dehradun. Affiliated with the national ISRT, which boasts over 22,000 members across India, the chapter aims to empower radiographers and radiological technologists. Mahendra Bhandari from Doon Medical College was elected State President, with Abhay Negi from Tehri District Hospital as General Secretary. Key office-bearers include Senior Vice President Anant Ram Uniyal, Vice President Vinod Tomar, and Lukman Chaudhary. The initiative focuses on enhancing professional roles through technical seminars, addressing employment and promotion challenges, and improving healthcare quality in the region.
