Foods That Can Literally Make You Happy😊👇💥😍🙌
New Post 👍😊
Most people would agree that food makes them happy - but did you know there's actual science behind it? Some foods can truly boost your mood, and I want to share a few of those with you. It's important to note that our gut is our second brain so when we take care of it by eating a healthy diet we will feel much better overall. It is estimated that 90% of our serotonin production is in our digestive system so let's get to feeling happy.
Here are a few of my favourite mood-boosting foods...
1- Dark chocolate. You may have felt like chocolate made you happier, but now it's been scientifically proven as well. It's been shown that eating dark chocolate each day lowers your levels of stress hormones and therefore makes you happier. This isn't a free pass to eat endless amounts of chocolate, but a little piece won't hurt - in fact, it could actually help!
2- Fruits & Veggies. All the nutrients, vitamins and minerals that come from a lifestyle filled with vegetables and fruits allows you to release neurotransmitters that make you happy. Therefore, incorporating this rainbow of food into your life is great for your mood and health.
3- Fatty fish. The omega 3's that come from fatty fish like wild salmon and tuna provides your body with the nutrients it needs to feel less stressed, a lot more relaxed and happy. Another benefit of omega 3 is its powerful anti-inflammatory properties. If it helps you reduce pain that's an added bonus to boost your mood.
4- Saffron. Have you heard of saffron before? Saffron is a spice from India. Conducted research showed that only a little bit of saffron a day makes serotonin more available to the brain. Saffron has also been shown to help alleviate PMS symptoms.
Along with eating mood-boosting foods, you can also make an effort to exercise on a regular basis for more mood boosting benefits. The endorphins that are released during exercise have a powerful effect that can last the whole day and set you up for success. Another great practice to boost your mood is by keeping a daily gratitude journal. Every day write down at least 3 things you are grateful for and really think deeply about them. When we are in a state of gratitude it completely transforms our perspective and mood.
Enjoy your food, make healthy decisions and you will be happy!

How to Keep Fit While Growing Older 💥🙌👍🙂
New Post 👍
Growing older is an inevitable part of life process. However, it doesn't have to be destructive and you can keep fit while growing older. Keeping fit while growing older will delay aging and keep its deteriorative effects at bay. Here are a few tips on how to keep fit and healthy.
1- Exercise Well
The importance of exercise in keeping fit for all ages cannot be over-emphasized.
It is a proven scientific fact that people who exercise tend to have improved immune system, improved digestive functioning, better blood pressure and bone density, and a lower risk of Alzheimer's disease, diabetes, obesity, heart disease, osteoporosis, and certain cancers.
Not only that, exercise helps to lose unhealthy weight. Metabolism naturally declines with increasing age, exercise increases the body metabolism and there is loss of unhealthy weight.
As one gets older, the body goes through a series of physiological changes so the types and intensity of exercises will also evolve.
Weight-Lifting - This is a form of exercise that one should always find time for. There is tendency to become demoralized to lift weights as one ages. This may be due to muscle atrophy which reduces the vitality of the muscles and its functions. You might find it increasingly difficult to lift the weights you have been lifting. It is important not to give up during such challenges. One way of overcoming the challenges is by joining exercise groups with whom you lift weights and exercise together. There is a risk of injury and you should be careful with the work outs. Never use a weight that is too heavy. Use smaller weights and then try to build it back up.
Walking/Jogging - Walking and jogging are very important activities to engage in. While getting older, there is tendency of living a sedentary lifestyle which may be attributed to retirement or other reason and it is even more important to start walking and jogging as part of your exercise regime. Walking and Jogging increases the heart rates and reduce the chances of developing hypertension. Not only that, it keeps the blood flowing well to all areas of the body.
Yoga - Yoga is a natural anti-aging method and is advisable to engage in it as one grows older. Yoga has been studied and may be recommended to promote relaxation and reduce stress. Yoga has the same effects it has on you while younger when you grow older. Some of the effects of yoga include increasing general health and stamina, reducing stress, and improving those conditions brought about by aging. It is particularly promoted as a physical therapy routine, and as a regimen to strengthen and balance all parts of the body.
2- Eat Well
It is important in ages to eat a balanced diet in order to keep fit. A balanced diet is a diet that gives your body all the nutrients required by it in order to function correctly.
Cut of junk foods. Junk foods contain poor nutrition and are high in sugar content. This may result in gaining unhealthy weight. Being overweight can lead to serious health complications resulting in morbidity. The prevalence of several medical complications, such as diabetes, hypertension, arthritis, cardiovascular disease, urinary incontinence, and various types of cancers, is associated with obesity in advancing age.
As such, it is recommended to avoid foods high in sugar such as cakes, cookies and donuts. In order to get a properly balanced nutrition, you should obtain the majority of your daily energy from fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins.
3- Rest Well
To keep fit while growing older, it is important to always get enough rest and sleep. Getting enough rest helps to reduce stress and keep its detrimental effects away.

Top 3 Tips for Beard Hygiene 😍👍✌
New Post 👍
1. Wash it
As a beardsman your facial hair is going to get grimy from time to time. If left unaddressed, the build up of daily grit and naturally occurring skin oil (sebum) could wreak havoc on the skin beneath your beard, potentially leading to skin irritation or a break out of spots. That's why the first and most important tip for a healthy beard is to wash it!
To begin your beard cleanse, it's important to wash it with water. But be selective with your water temperature. Cold water might not be the best choice, as tends to reduce the effectiveness of your beard wash. And very hot water dries out hair follicles. Like Goldilocks, the perfect temperature is in the middle. Lukewarm water enhances blood circulation and opens pores, ensuring that every wash is effective.
Pro tip: Avoid washing your beard with body washes, face washes or regular soap. These cleansers are too strong and tend to strip your beard of its natural oils and awesomeness. Try using a mild soap, cleanser or beard wash instead. They're designed to gently clean and maintain your fuzz, while energizing the skin beneath your beard.
2. Moisturise it
Harsh weather conditions tend to drain natural oils from your face, leading to dry and split ended beard hairs. To keep your beard soft and healthy consider using a moisturizer or beard oil (Beard oils have been used for centuries to help mimic natural skin oil). Of course you could use natural oils too. For instance coconut oil is known widely for its ability to moisturise and nourish hair and skin.
Pro tip: Did you know beard balm is also an excellent way to moisturise and nourish your beard. High quality balms contain some of the best natural ingredients around including coconut oil, Shea butter and vitamin E. These ingredients are included to not only feed those facial follicles and nourish the skin but also tame stray hairs and shape your beard.
3. Trim it
Another way to keep your beard healthy is to groom it regularly. Grooming and maintenance might not be your thing but it helps tame those split ends..and women dig it.
Pro tip: Trim your beard while it's dry. This will help you get a better length estimate. Also brush or comb your beard daily to help distribute any beard oils evenly, untangle and get rid of any unexpected crumbs.
